RDP Session stuck in Portrait Resolution

I am using  Win 7 Enterprise 32bit with a 1920 x 1080 monitor.  The other day I connected to ou4 Windows 2008 R2 Server using RDP.  I then rotated my monitor to Portrait and set the screen orientation to Portrait.  The orientation of BOTH Windows changed correctly.  BUT when I attempt to go back to Landscape mode the width of the RDP Window has been limited to 1080, as the RDP Session remains stuck in Portrait mode.

The RDP Session Screen Resolution tells me "The display settings can't be changed from a remote session", but when I connect to the server directly the orientation is already landscape.

So how do I get out of this one?
