Hi All,
I have a customer with Windows XP configured to support RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) connections. He can access this machine from several Windows computers through MSTSC (M$ Terminal Services Connector) and I can access it from Linux with rdesktop.
Problem, on his iPad, with either this RPC client
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rdp-remote-desktop-connection/id529509413?mt=8
or M$'s Remote Desktop, I can connect perfectly. Problem: the only thing that shows is the current windows that is in focus. You can open up menus and buttons from inside the current windows, but you can not operate things outside the current windows. You can't even see them.
What a huge annoyance. You have to go to a Linux or a Windows computer first, open what you want to be seen on the iPad, log out of Windows or Linux client, then log back in with the iPad client. And, hope that is all you want to do on the remote machine. You can not even work the stinkin' start button!
Can this be fixed?
Many thanks,
-T
