How to disable Libraries with public folders on a 2008R2 RD server with Office 2007 (or 2010)

Hello,

Struggling again with public folders. (Who in the world invented those ??)

We have no problems with public folders in Libraries on a RDServer. There are many sites referring the registry changes to disable those.

However not in Office 2007. When we use the file-Open/Save dialog the Libraries are back again :-(

Worse is that somehow users can save files and create folders there. After a refresh however these files and folders are gone. Disappeared. As an administrator I see them in c:.....public... documents. Users don't see these files anymore. Through their recent files list however it is possible to open these documents.Ne

Next logical step is to remove the group that gives them access to those public folders............. but there is no group that gives them access ??? or at least I don't know through which group the user gets access ??

The only groups/users having access to this folder are the following:

System, Batch, Administrators Interactive, Service

Please enlighten me.
