Hi everyone. I have a single 2012 R2 server. I want 7 of us in the IT dept. to be able to Remote Desktop into the server at the same time so I purchased a 5 CAL user license (since 2 of us can get in simultaneously with the base license / install). I've installed all of the RDS roles and setup everything following a step-by-step guide on the web. Everything looks fine, but for some reason the licensing / licenses aren't working. Every time I log into the server I get a message stating I have X number of days before the RDS trial expires. I'm told that "Remote Desktop licensing mode is not configured." However, it is configured. I'm really confused.
The pop-up that appears after I've logged in says "Remote Desktop Services will stop working in 94 days. On the RD Connection Broker server, use Server Manager to specify the Remote Desktop licensing mode and the license server". I've done all of this, however, and it's not working. These roles all exist on this one 2012 R2 server, the only one we have on the network. What am I doing wrong?
