Mixing 2012 and 2003 TS licensing servers

I currently have two 2003 TS servers with one of them being the licensing server. I would like to add a new TS server running 2012. Can I make the 2012 TS server a license server for only the 2012 RDS cals with only certain users accessing it. My question is can I run to a 2003 TS license server and a 2012 TS license server on the same domain without any issues?
