Hi all,
I have a customer with a 2012 R2 RDSH farm consisting of:
Server 1 - Connection broker / licensing
Server 2 - Gateway / Web
Servers 3 - ? - RDSH servers
When connecting to the farm with Internet Explorer 11 connection and redirection to the RDSH servers works.
Both internally and externally.
However, there are a bunch of old(er) thin clients with old Explorer versions (no new firmware available).
When I logon using the browser, the user needs to login twice.
Using the Remote Desktop Client with the farm url an user is able to logon, get's connected through to the server2, but receives the message: The connection was denied, because the user account is not authorized for remote login.
So RDP tries to log the user on to Server2 and the user has to be connected through to one of the RDSH servers.
Is it possible to create a custom RDP file?
I've been playing around with setting customs options (editing the RDP file with notepad), but I'm not able to use a RDP file for connection.
Is it possible to achieve this?
The only thing I found is the following post: http://microsoftplatform.blogspot.nl/2012/04/rd-connection-broker-ha-and-rdp.html
But there's no HA/Load balacing used here.
Any help/thoughts are appreciated.
Kind regards,
Matthijs
