I have 2 clients where a user at Client 1 VPNs into Client 2's network and then logs into their RDS server and wants to print documents to her own printer in her office.
I'm testing from another computer on the same network as the Client 1 and VPN'd into Client 2's network and logged into the RDS server. I have domain admin access on the domain on each network.
The user says when she prints to her redirected printer on the RDS server she doesn't get anything. I verified this from my own testing using the other computer on client 1's network. The job appears in the queue and then disappears but nothing comes out of the printer. I thought maybe it was a driver issue so I installed the driver for the printer on Client 1's network on the RDS server of Client 2. No difference.
Printing to the printer from Client 1's network works just fine. When I look at the properties of the printer while on the RDS server of course the port is a TS port and not the IP address.
I'm stumped at this point as I've done this before and it worked fine without any tweaking. Any idea how to get the redirected printing to work?
